Now Egyptian intelligence has garnered the position of an Israeli strongpoint in the desert and suggests that there may be substantial munitions and supplies there. An air strike has been formed to take out this strongpoint. Is the strongpoint truly what intelligence suggests it is? What will be the Israeli defense of this position?
2 Friday Breaking the Canadian Blockade - 1865 USA vs. British Iron & Fire: Naval Rules for the Ironclad Period 1850-1880 Felix Enterprises Miniature BM: Steve Lowry Era: American Civil War Naval Combat with 1/1200 scale. Hypothetical Scenario – In the fall of 1865, the US demanded that England compensate the US for damages caused by ships built in England and used as commerce raiders against US shipping during the American Civil War. Assuming that England refused to submit the matter to a World Court, the US could declare a naval blockade of the Canadian coast until England settled with the US. The British navy considered itself sovereign of the seas so the most powerful British fleet was dispatched to Canada to break the American blockade of Canada. The US, expecting such a reaction, had assembled its most powerful fleet off the Canadian cost to contest the matter. The side with the most ship points still in action at the end of the contest will be considered the winner.

2 Friday Macau Incident-27 January 1799 Post Captain Old Dominion GameWorks Miniature BM: Ray Runge Era: Napoleonic Naval Combat with 1/1000 scale. The Macau Incident was an inconclusive encounter between a powerful squadron of French and Spanish warships and a British Royal Navy escort squadron in the Wanshan (or Ladrones) Archipelago off Macau on 27 January 1799. The incident took place in the context of the East Indies campaign during the French Revolutionary Wars, with the allied squadron attempting to disrupt a valuable British merchant convoy due to sail from Qing Dynasty China.

In the midst of the German blitzkrieg, a motley collection of Polish troops tries to hold off the advance of a German infantry battalion in a village near the city of Torun. These Polish troops, themselves the remnants of various formations destroyed in the previous days, have been promised reinforcements in the near future (a promise broken several times over the past week of combat). [Scenario was inspired by the movie Sahara (1943)].

3 Saturday Obstacle at Schnecklohe Reforger 74-89 Robert Stusse Miniature BM: Robert Stusse Era: 1980s Cold War Ground Combat with 1/600 scale. August 1986, U.S. Seventh Corps has fought a fighting retreat from the Hof Gap. The Soviet 8th Guards Army was finally halted by tank ditches and defenses just to East of a small hamlet named Schneckenlohe. The Soviets form a defensive line and call in the engineers. The Soviets will have to beach this obstacle before they can continue their advance. Meanwhile, TF 2/30 INF, has been pulled into reserve. TF 3/64 Armor (1 Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division) has been order into a spoiling attack to halt the breach.

3 Saturday Clash of Armour: Debrecen, Hungary-October 6, 1944 Micro Armour: The Game GHQ Miniature BM: David Harrison Era: World War II Ground Combat with 1/285 scale. The autumn of 1944 found the troops of Marshal Rodion Yakovlevich Malinovsky’s Second Ukrainian Front sweeping through the Carpathian Mountains and onto the broad plains of Hungary. Behind them lay Romania and the wreckage of the German 6th and 8th Armies. The men of the Red Army were confident of a quick and easy victory. Appearances were deceiving, however. Near the city of Debrecen the Russian Advanced Guard encountered, not the remnants of an already defeated force, but four full-strength panzer divisions, eager for revenge. They would clash in what historian Earl F. Ziemke described as "one of the wildest tank battles of the war".

Your mission will be to destroy the petroleum operations at or near-by Ploesti, Rumania! You will fly your set of three B-24s 2400 miles into enemy territory and fly at tree-top level to obliterate your objective. The War depends upon your successful completion of this risky endeavor. Will you join one of the five B 24 Bomb groups on their attempt? Will you be able to navigate through the enemy flak and swarms of fighters to accomplish your mission? Will you make it home safely or will you spend the next few years in Romania? Each player will have three B 24 bombers from the original August, 1943 raid that participated in the affair. You will run the gauntlet of anti-aircraft batteries and enemy aircraft in and out of the target area. By flying at less than 100 ft above "the deck", you will navigate around the various obstacles in your flight path to drop your bombs on specific installations. You decide your target, you decide tactics, you decide to meet your destiny. This game is a double session. It starts in Session 4 and continues into Session 5.

4 Saturday Lending a Helping Hand Fistfull of TOWs 3 Ty Beard and Paul Minton Miniature BM: Adam H. Jones III Era: Cold War Ground Combat with 1/285 scale. It is 1978 and the Cold War has unexpectedly turned hot. The Soviet Union launched a devastating first strike into West German and has sent NATO reeling back. One thrust has been particularly successful with the Soviets driving fast toward a key town and river crossing. NATO has sent two different forces to attempt to slow the Soviets and yesterday, the latest force managed to stall the advance at nightfall. It is expected that the Soviets will regroup overnight and resume their attack in the morning. The local NATO commander has one last reserve unit to send in to attack the Soviets before they step off and resume their attack.

5 Saturday The Battle of Tamatave-20 May, 1811 Post Captain Old Dominion GameWorks Miniature BM: Ray Runge Era: Napoleonic Naval Combat with 1/1000 scale. The Battle of Tamatave, fought off Tamatave in Madagascar between British and French frigate squadrons, would be the final engagement of the Mauritius campaign of 1809 - 1811. A reinforcement squadron of frigates (loaded with troops and supplies for the French garrison at Mauritius) under the command of Commodore Francois Roquebert in Renommee, had been dispatched from Brest in February 1811. Unknown to the French, however, Mauritius had already fallen in December 1810 to a British invasion fleet. The reinforcement squadron reached Mauritius on 6 May, only to discover the following day that the island was now in British hands and narrowly escaped a trap laid by a squadron of British frigates ordered to pursue and destroy them.

Just a few years ago, the Kingdom of Manticore and the Royal Manticoran Navy soundly defeated the Peoples Republic of Haven and the Peoples Naval Service as it attempted to wrest control of three border star systems. Instead of accepting the defeat and trying to mend fences, The Peoples Naval Service has been constantly raiding our border systems, intercepting our commercial merchantmen and stirring up trouble politically. The Royal Navy has tolerated the raid as a nuisance for a while but rising complaints from wealthy merchant interest has forced the Royal Navy to respond by beefing up our border squadrons and begin to intercept and attack these raiders.

6 Sunday Surprise in the Mist General Quarters 3.3 Old Dominion Game Works Miniature BM: Adam H. Jones III Era: World War II Naval Combat with 1/2400 scale. The invasion of the Aleutians by the Japanese was a secondary operation of the Midway operation. While Midway was a crushing defeat, the invasion of Adak, Kiska, and Attu islands went without a hitch. It did not take the US long to begin moving more men and supplies to the US island bases of Dutch Harbor on Unalaska and Fort Glenn air base on Unmak. The Japanese consolidated their holdings and began to send men and supplies to beef up their garrisons as well. The battle depicted here is a fictional encounter in November 1942 between a Japanese escorted supply convoy and a US escorted supply convoy in the cold and misty North Pacific as both convoys make their runs into the Aleutians.

The offensive aimed at relieving besieged Budapest hung in the balance all along the front. Take command of a German or Soviet tank force about to do battle along the approach to Seregelyes, and try out the new TANKS fast-play game system.
