6DC05 Zulu Attack At The River Mhiatuze One Hour Skirmish Wargames Pen & Sword Publications Miniature Sunday 9:00 AM BM: Kevin Fitzpatrick Lord Chelmsford launched his second invasion of Zululand in May,1879. The Zulus resorted to hit & run tactics against the extended British supply lines, forcing Chelmsford to build a series of fortresses to protect the crawling wagon trains. Prince Imperial Louis Napoleon perished in June 1879 in such a skirmish. This scenario depicts an encounter of a Zulu Impi of the uVe ibutho and a small detachment from the 90th Perthshire Light Infantry where the supply trail crosses a stream running into the River Mhiatuze.
